The ideal supplement to XML4cobol SE is the DTD editor, which you can obtain as freeware tool.
You used this tool to open a document type definition (DTD) for data structures and to generate the required files for XML4cobol.
The DTD Editor offers additional functions, which are not required for XML4cobol. You can use the DTD Editor on any arbitrary computer with a Java runtime installed. If necessary, you can download the Java environment from http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.2/jre/.
We recommend Java 1.2. If you use Java 1.1, you also have to install Swing 1.1.
